Now back to our regularly scheduled program. :)
I'm a Bedroom/basement Detroit Hip-Hop producer that goes above the norm. I enjoy mutilating samples and creating something out of nothing. I go beyond simply finding a sample and adding some drums to it. My idea of chopping is deeper than simple rearranging a hot loop, and my drums are usually all over the place, sloppy, unquantized, but it doesn't sound like gym shoes in a dryer.
If you enjoy artists like Madlib, or J-Dilla, than chances are you will enjoy what I have to offer. I consider my style to be deeper than most, and very original. The act of simply adding drums to a sample is very old to me, and discovering new ways on developing a raw style is very intriguing. I work with MPC's, vinyl, and synthesizers while recording 2-track to a cd-burner, or(as of recently) a free program called Audacity. ProTools is too complicated, I always need to watch the supplied DVD for every function that I need to use and this gets in the way of creativity. Please don't expect pristine audible quality, this is gutta music that I'm sure you will enjoy. :)
