Eric Bowers is a composer, recording artist, and performer. He received formal training in classical and jazz piano, trombone, clarinet, and acoustic guitar. He began composing at the age of 16, and has been influenced by composers and performers from a wide variety of genres.
Eric's first recorded release was 1988's Music for the Keyboard, consisting of classical, rock, and new age music.
Later, Eric was keyboardist for the experimental instrumental rock ensemble Nobodaddy. In 1993, they released Duh Evolution.
Circa 2000, he was the keyboardist for the classic rock cover band Chance Encounter. They performed frequently in the Michigan region, and were the opening act for several touring rock bands including Blue Oyster Cult, Great White, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
In 2009, he recorded and released Twilight, a collection of instrumental works for solo piano, string orchestra, and woodwinds.
