Mercurial Rage started playing Minneapolis clubs in the summer of 2005. At first it was a wholly electronic affair; two laptops, a keyboard, and a singer to be exact. They quickly developed their live act to include bass and guitar while maintaining an allegiance to their silicon drummer.
They recorded their first album, a six song EP, at BryteSpot Studios in Minneapolis with producer Mykl Westbrooks of Landing Gear. The Funeral Sessions came out in June, 2007. The song "Devil Girl" was also released in June by mpls ltd (http://www.mplsltd.com/) as a limited edition 7" 45 rpm vinyl record for their Super Split Singles Club. Their third release, a self titled EP recorded at Flowers studios in Minneapolis by producer Ed Ackerson.
The band are already engaged in the recording of their next album, a full length record which should be ready to launch in early 2009. They are once again working with producer Ed Ackerson at Flowers in Minneapolis.
