Nabi's music is an original brew of acoustic, jazz, rock, and experimental, with strong folk undertones. Her poetic lyrics paint an emotional blend of world views, life experiences, and are cathartic for the listener. After picking up her father's guitar at 13 years old, and writing her first song, Nabi serendipitously stumbled into a microphone at a local Guelph pub, and discovered that she enjoyed sharing her songs with others. Since then she has played a number of Festivals, Open mics, local venues, and has been a part of two musicals written and produced by James Gordon. Nabi hopes to make a full-time career out of music, and in her travels, to meet friends as groovy and real as those she has met so far. This year Nabi is exploring life (and hopefully will never stop), and passionately pursuing her inner artist, through poetry, visual art, fashion design and creation, and, of course, music!
